What Defines A Home?

The performance + installation series IKEA Disobedients by Andrés Jaque argues against “ideal home” stereotypes advertised by IKEA that often portray young, blond, heterosexual couples starting a family. Using the well-established IKEA visual language, these analysis drawings pose an intentional counter-statement towards the prejudiced, narrow definitions of private dwellings and associated indications of “normal behaviors” that the corporation has been promoting.
